Unique Belgian Ale
6.7%abv , 22oz bottle
Third Advent beer of the night.
This is vastly superior to the nastiness of the last beer.
Pours dark amber to light brown, with a substantial head.
Aroma is malt and cola.
Flavor is nicely balanced with good roasty malt, subtle hops, and a hint of sourness.
Finish is nicely balanced.
A very tasty Belgian brown.
BTW, have you been watching Brewmasters? We're actually enjoying it. Corny at times, but fun to watch.

ReplyDeleteI have the Brewmasters show saved on DVR, but haven't watched it yet. I read the Dogfish Head guy's book, and wasn't all that impressed. Hopefully the show is better.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, the chalice is nice. We were at my mother-in-law's tonight, and those are the beer glasses she has.
