Barrel

Finally got an eight gallon whiskey barrel to age stuff in.  Looking forward to putting our first batch of Farmhouse RyePA in there in a few weeks.

  1. Like this a lot. Been looking for a reasonably-sized and priced barrel for a while. RyePA barreled sounds great. I've been experimenting with saisons a little bit lately and the much praised/maligned brettanomyces.

    1. Joel got these from this new-ish distillery up in Washington. We put a deposit down and then he got a pallet of them in. $160 for the barrel. I thought that was a pretty good deal, considering how much all the other barrels I've seen cost.
