This moment of Primus-lyric-inspired-randomness brought to you by the first mud run of the Fall. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but it was slippery mucky fun today.

Diamond Knot Brown Ale
22oz bottle, 6%abv
I'm in the middle of brewing, so this will be brief: this is a very good brown ale, you should try it.

Silver Moon Brown Eyes Ale
22oz bottle, 7.5% abv.
Silver Moon Brewing, Bend, Oregon.
My brother-in-law Stafford and I are brewing a batch of brown ale tomorrow, so we picked up a few different browns to try. This one is decent, nothing super special. A bit light in color, and a bit hoppy. More like the Ninkasi double red ale than a brown. Good, just not a great brown. Could have a bit more dark malt character to balance out the hops.

HUB Abominable Winter Ale
22oz bottle, 7.3%abv
Hopworks Urban Brewery, Portland, Oregon
This is quite different than most of the dark, malty Oregon winter ales. This is basically a strong, spicy IPA with a good malt background. Really tasty though, and a nice change. Oh and the cool label is a nice bonus too.

The verdict...
Could be worse...
Oh and I had to go with orange for the halloween season and to support the OSU Beavers.

Bridgeport Hop Harvest Ale
They bill this on the label as "fresh from field to brew in one hour" which seems true, and also as "imperial style" which doesn't really seem accurate. it's tasty, it's just not really an imperial IPA.
Hoppy nose and flavor, light to moderate maltiness, solidly bitter finish.
If you like the normal Bridgeport IPA, you'll like this. It's essentially a fresh-hopped slightly stronger version of that.
