This is yummy. Lots of great sourness and wild yeast notes. Cherry flavor is there, but is not overpowering. If I didn't know this was beer, I'd think it was some sort of crazy cherry lemonade. Very refreshing, and although it's 8.1%, it seems light. It's a very nice change from the super dark malty stuff in the calendar so far.
I've never had anything like that before. I might have to try and find one.

ReplyDeleteSee if you can find the "Framboise" by Lindemans (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Framboise for a picture of the bottle). It's fairly commonly available, is a a bit more subtle sourness-wise, and would be a good intro to a similar style.
